Markus Wild is a photographer and a lecturer for visual arts, photography and new media in Switzerland and in Bhutan. In the context of a cultural project, he conceived and executed a “Participatory Photo Project” from 2010 to 2013, where students and farmers of four different ethnic groups observed and documented the traditional life in their villages by means of digital photography. The project intends to encourage the awareness for the value of cultural diversity and traditional knowledge.

The
vfg Bildersoirée is a forum for discussion, information and networking for professional photographers, organized by the vfg Vereinigung Fotografischer Gestalterinnen (Association of Creative Photographers). Photographers present themselves and images from their projects, campaigns and reportages, this provides for a possibility to share something remarkable, receive well-founded criticism and connect images and names.
