The Swiss Heritage Society has awarded the municipality of Sempach with the Wakker Prize 2017. The small town received the award for the careful and contemporary development of its historic centre of national importance and for the broad public discussion on the building and planning in the municipality.

Every year the Swiss Heritage Society awards the Wakker Prize to a municipality that demonstrates outstanding achievements regarding townscape and settlement development. The prize is endowed with CHF 20’000.

Photographer Gaëtan Bally visited Sempach and captured it in pictures and videos.
