In 2012, Christian Lutz published the photo book “In Jesus’ Name”, his third work on the issue of power. However, ten days after its publication, legal proceedings led to a temporary ban of “In Jesus Name” due to actions by 21 members of the evangelical free church “International Christian Fellowship” (ICF) on the basis of their image right. A committee, of which numerous well-known personalities are members, has been established to support the photographer. Pascal Couchepin, former member of the federal council, who contributed to the first part of the Trilogy on the topic of power (“Protokoll) is part of the committee as well. The Musée de l’Elysée has planned to exhibit the full Trilogy from June to September 2013.

Stefano Stoll, Director of the Festival Images in Vevey, will moderate the evening with Christian Lutz. They will take a profound look at the photographer’s long-term project on the notion of power.  Afterwards, Christian Lutz will sing his books “Protokoll” and “Tropical Gift – the Business of Oil and Gas in Nigeria”.
